Mariusz K. Wrzosek, MD, DMD

Mariusz K. Wrzosek, MD, DMD recently joined Chicago Surgical Specialists. He is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He grew up in the Chicago area, and completed his undergraduate studies at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earnings degrees in Mechanical and Bioengineering. He earned his Dental and Medical degrees from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. He brings extensive experience in full-scope surgery, is a dedicated teacher, having been full time faculty and Associate Professor of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and Associate Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has authored multiple chapters and publications, lectured nationally and internationally, and is a dedicated leader in the specialty, recently serving as Board member and President of the Chicago Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran, holds the rank of Commander, and has a combined 18 years of active duty and Navy Reserve clinical experience. Dr. Wrzosek continues to serve our Veterans and is a staff surgeon at the Edward Hines Jr. VA hospital. In his free time, he enjoys travel, aviation, and diving. He speaks Polish and Spanish.
